MARCELLO & TERRY TURNER TRIBUTE
A native of Argentina, Marcello survived kidnapping and six months of torture by the Argentine secret police. When he was finally released, it was in the same way he was kidnapped – by being put in the trunk of a car and dropped off near his home town. Marcello left Argentina, and moved to Rio de
Janeiro, and after several years, migrated to Germany where he began his
career as a sculptor, focusing on classical works.
He traveled to the United States in1995, and finally settled in
the Los Angeles area with Terry
Turner, with whom he spent the rest of his life.
Terry provided the safe environment for Marcello to excel as a
sculptor, developing a large patron base which purchased his male erotic
works in marble, soapstone and resins. |

![]() Marcello and Terry Turner (R) All who met and knew these gentle men acknowledge
that they left a lasting impact, personally and artistically. We will miss them. Marcello and Terry left the Foundation works to
sell on their behalf: the proceeds will be placed into an Emerging
Artist Fund to provide grants and cash awards for contests. The two
works shown here are just the first of several pieces we will be
making available for sale. |
