| SUCCESS IN THE BIG APPLE
The Tom of Finland
Foundation hosted its Second Annual New York City Erotic Art Fair
this past July, and number two was even bigger and better than the
inaugural. With 35 artists' booths, more than 50 artists represented,
and over 800 in attendance, sales topped $21,000 during the three day
weekend event. Our hosts at The Center in Chelsea were both gracious
and accommodating, and the synergy generated between the artists and
the attendees suggests that it was a cultural experience for all
concerned.

As in LA., the artist
and model demonstration is a popular attraction |
Artists
who have attended fairs in both Los Angeles and Manhattan enjoyed the
contrast between the two. Our sincere gratitude to HX Magazine,
our main media sponsor; The Center, for providing the space
which made it possible; and the Leslie-Lohman Foundation, Visual
Arts, the New York Body Archive, Wessel-O'Connor, GMSMA,
and Art@Large, all of whom assisted us by promoting the event
to their memberships.
We
thank you all for your support and fellowship in this collaboration.
