WHY A SUBMISSION FORM? Question: You've sent out your press release, and it looks pretty good from your perspective. Why should you send this information through a form? Answer: Many press releases we receive do not include the basic information we need to present their event properly: Some don't include the event's address information -- sometimes even the city is missing. Some don't include the dates of the events or days and hours of the exhibition. Some don't include a website address that offers further information -- even though the sponsor has a website containing this info! When graphics are not included, we often will often use something publicly available from the website, then learn that another image was preferred. These may seem like small issues, but the time and effort required to clarify "missing details" has become a growing expense for the Foundation. It has led us to create a submission form that will hopefully reduce needless e-mails or hunting through websites for critical event information. Artists without a webpage can link people to our Events Page once we have posted their event. The link we send with our confirmation e-mail that your event is posted will allow you to direct visitors directly to your event listing. |
