| Lifecasting or bodycasting is an exciting and powerful
artform that has been used for centuries to immortalize its subjects.
Today's high-tech methods are streamlined and accurate enough to
duplicate fingerprints, wrinkles, even eyelashes! And, unlike a
photograph or painting, lifecast sculptures show the subject from
every angle.
In this wild and fun workshop, internationally known artist Philip
Hitchcock will cover the history and basics of lifecasting and demonstrate
his amazing techniques using a live model. Then, in a hands-on lab,
you and a partner will learn how to use a special fast drying impression
medium to make lifecast sculptures of each other, (approximate size
14" x 14") and get expert tips on how to decoratively
color, embellish and display your artwork.
