presents:

The Dirty Show 10.5
An International Erotic Art Exhibition

Call for artists!
Deadline: August 18, 2009

Following up the record shattering February exhibition, The Dirty Show® continues its 10th Anniversary celebration with a second all new exhibition starting in Detroit this September. Artists working in any medium(s) are invited to submit up to four pieces of recent erotica to The Dirty Show®. All models and artists must be 18; other than that it is totally uncensored, as long as the submitted work is erotic.

Over $1,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to artists including “Best Photograph,” “Best Painting/Illustration,” “Best 3D/Sculpture,” and “Dirtiest.” There is also a possibility that your work could be selected for The Dirty Show® Tour.

— You must be over 21 and have a valid photo I.D. to enter. —

ABOUT DIRTY
The mission of The Dirty Show is to promote, publish and propagate erotic art in all forms. This is done in the form of an erotic art exhibition which has become one of the largest in the world.

Since it’s inception at the turn of the century, the founders have been entertaining and enlightening the masses with a delightful event called, The Dirty Show. The show features a large number of artists, from first-timers to the famous at their dirtiest. While primarily focusing on area artists, The Dirty Show is open to artists from anywhere in the world, providing the work is good, erotic, they can get it here.

PORN OR ART?
"This is the question most media poses. The answer is simple. It is 100%, genuine art. We have done extensive research on porn, logging in countless hours on the internet — we know porn, intimately. While some pieces, to the layman, may appear to be pornographic, it is as artistic as any stuff you would see in a museum. There have been a few pieces which some feel are not “dirty”. This to is a misconception, most likely due to the lack of artistic education of the viewer."

THE LOUVRE
“I know my little ‘dirty drawings’ are never going to hang in the main salons of the Louvre, but it would be nice if — I would like to say ‘when,’ but I better say ‘if’ — our world learns to accept all the different ways of loving. Then maybe I could have a place in one of the smaller side rooms.” (1991)
