The Leather Archives & Museum
presents:
Burlesque & Bondage
Leon Grossman’s Erotic Art Photography

Opening Reception: April 30th from 7:00 to 11:00 PM
There will be a gala with burlesque & bondage performers to celebrate the art in the photography turned to life. The main performance begins at 9 PM. Suggested donation to the opening night gala is $10 and there will be tickets for the cash bar available to those 21 years and older.

Leon Grossman’s erotic art photography is being featured in his first one-man show at the GAG Gallery at the Leather Archives & Museum. Leon’s works feature many local performance artists and reflect his skill at rope craft — turning bondage into beauty.

Artists Biography

Leon, originally a native of Oklahoma, began experimenting with photography while attending the University of Oklahoma. He moved to Chicago in 1998 and became a part of the pansexual BDSM community shortly thereafter. He is well known for his leadership and activism in the Chicago BDSM community and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Leather Archives & Museum.

His fascination with rope art, sex and BDSM has led to the majority of his work being some form of erotica. His subjects are primarily members of the BDSM community ranging from the professional dominant to the submissive who plays for fun. Leon incorporates the spontaneous interactions of his subjects as well as more deliberate studio work in his art. His fetish and BDSM photography has been showcased in Bondage Magazine, and on Eros-Zine among other respected online publications.

ENCOURAGEMENT
"My drawings are primarily meant for guys who may have experienced misunderstanding and oppression and feel that they have somehow failed in their lives. I want to encourage them. I want to encourage this minority group, to tell them not to give up, to think positively about their act and whole being." (1990) — Tom of Finland
