Main display Image:
Should have be 800 pixels in the largest dimension.
Detail (thumbnail) Image:
Must have an exact height of 115 pixels.
Width should not exceed 200 pixels.
Be sure the image is in RGB and not CMYK format or it will not display in most browsers.
Levels for the image should typically run from pure
black to pure white.
Images -> Adjustments -> Levels ->
Set the black threshold (left arrow) to the start of the rise of the graph on the left hand side.
Set the white threshold (right arrow) to the start of the rise of the graph on the right hand side.
Adjust the center arrow left or right to create the most natural effect.
Files should be sharpened using "Unsharp Mask",
Filter -> Sharpen -> Unsharp Mask...
Use settings of Amount 50%, Radius 0.5 pixels, and Threshold 0 levels.
With thumbnails, you may sometimes need to do this twice to make the image "crisp",
but it's best not to over do it.
Files should be .jpg, and use PhotoShop compression
setting of 4.
If PhotoShop does not offer the compression dialog box,
use "save as" with the same file name. Over write is fine. Then you'll see the compression settings.
"Format options" should be set at Baseline ("Standard")
File names should not contain blanks or non alphanumeric characters except for periods.
