Hajime Sorayama is world famous for an intense hyper illustrated style — sometimes described as an imaginative modern day Vargas. The conceptual originality and futuristic visions transcend the erotic form.

This annual invitational event for Seamen, Commanders, and other major Foundation patrons is one of the highlights of our year -- and always over much too quickly. On June 10, 2005 this mix of art lovers, volunteers and staff made for lively and inspirational conversation. (Learn more about our membership levels here.)

The evening was dedicated to Thomas Elliott Harmon, a talented artist in the prime of his life, who passed away suddenly of a heart attack on December 17, 2004. Elliott was a Foundation member, and he received our Honorary Commander Award that recognized his special contributions to the Foundation.

Elliott’s family has donated several items to the Foundation. The Foundation thanks the family for all of the gifts to our Archives and is grateful they acknowledge the Tom of Finland Foundation as the place to preserve history.

The Foundation is also pleased to be able to offer some works for sale from the Harmon Collection. Attendees of Tom's Cocktail Party were the first to see these treasures. Both the Foundation and Elliott’s estate profit from the sale of these works. You can make an appointment to stop by to view, and even purchase, some pieces from this fine collection.
